ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

The mill acknowledges the need to cater for the concerns of environmental groups as well as the necessity to comply with legislation. Thus, all efforts are made to stay within any guidelines issued. For example, purchasing preference is given to suppliers who adopt the best available environmental procedures in turn. The main raw material is fully bleached chemical pulp, most of which comes from the USA, where there are now 22% more trees growing than there were in 1920.

This mentality also stretches to the treatment of effluence, which since the installation of a new Sludge Treatment Plant in 1991 maintains effluence quality well within any requirements. The pulps are ECF with very low AOX's.

PRINTING TIPS

Printing Pacemaker should cause you no problems. Simply treat it as you would any standard white uncoated paper & board, adjusting roller pressure, ink density and machine speed accordingly.
