Howard Smith Paper Retail strengthens brand portfolio

Howard Smith Paper Retail is pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive agreement that will see them converting and distributing a new range of Xerox Inkjet Photo Papers for the UK retail market.

The agreement is significant in helping to develop the OEM brand portfolio which already includes HP, IBM, and Kodak, and further supports their core business of own-label photo inkjet and printer/copier papers into many of the UK's largest retailers, which include Tesco, Asda, and Sainsburys.

'By taking responsibility for conversion, stock holding, and distribution we have much tighter control over costs than our competitors, the result being that we can deliver quality branded papers at fiercely competitive prices,' comments Mike Thomsett, Managing Director - Howard Smith Paper Retail. 'Not just that but the flexibility we afford our customers is something which really helps set us apart in what is a very challenging market.'

The Xerox range and packaging has been designed with the consumer in mind. An uncomplicated product range, featuring only FSC certified papers, makes it simple for the consumer to purchase the right paper for their given use, and a clean pack design featuring bold colours and images should ensure the products really stand out in store.

Commenting on the launch, Paula Malley, National Sales Manager said, 'It's great having something totally new and unique to go to customers with, and judging by the feedback received so far we're likely to be on to a real winner with Xerox Inkjet Photo Papers, both with our existing customers and when we talk to our prospective customers as well.'
